Melbourne Speech Writing Seminar to Explore Effective Speech Writing
Word Nerds and CLAPS have announced a new speech writing seminar to be held in Melbourne in September 2009. The Art of Great Speech Writing will be presented by Michael Gladkoff, speech writer and director of Word Nerds.
The seminar will help budding speech writers and business people improve their speech writing abilities to create interesting and persuasive speeches.
Michael Gladkoff, a speech writer for over 20 years, believes that speech writing is a skill that can be developed with an understanding of proven techniques.
“If you analyse great business and political speeches, you will find that they are written by speech writers who use proven techniques for creating a sound structure and effective language in their speeches,” Gladkoff said.
“Last year we saw how Barack Obama’s speech writer helped him in the US presidential election through great speech writing. The techniques used by his speech writer can be learnt and applied by anyone interested in improving their speech writing.”
The seminar is the first in the Speaking Excellence Seminars series initiated by CLAPS ─ Communication, Leadership and Presentation Skills. Future Speaking Excellence Seminars will include Creating Effective PowerPoint Presentations, Controlling Nervousness When Speaking in Public and How to Use Humour in Your Speeches.
