Word Nerds, a Melbourne-based provider of copywriting and editing services, has announced the launch of free copywriting workshops delivered throughout greater Melbourne. Called Copywriting Melbourne, the two-hour course will be delivered onsite to organisations in Melbourne that want to improve copywriting skills.
The complimentary Copywriting Melbourne mini-course is designed for professionals with little or no copywriting experience who want to learn basic copywriting techniques.
Michael Gladkoff, Director of Word Nerds, developed the idea of the Copywriting Melbourne workshop after discovering a lack of knowledge in the general business community about copywriting.
“I meet many business people who lack an understanding of the fundamentals of copywriting. There are some simple rules and techniques that people can use to immediately improve their copywriting skills and create better copy for marketing, advertising and public relations purposes,” Gladkoff said.
“In our two-hour Copywriting Melbourne workshop we give people the tools to write more effective promotional copy,” he said.
Norm Ladson, inventor and Director of Ladco, attended the Copywriting Melbourne workshop delivered to members of the Inventors Association of Australia (Victoria) in May. Ladson said he benefited from the Copywriting Melbourne workshop.
“The Word Nerds Copywriting Melbourne session was very helpful. It touched on angles that you usually wouldn’t think of if you haven’t studied copywriting,” Ladson said. “Business people need to understand these copywriting concepts if they want to successfully promote their products and services.”
Gladkoff stressed that the Copywriting Melbourne courses are a free service offered by Word Nerds.
“We’re conducting the Copywriting Melbourne workshops to raise the level of knowledge about copywriting. If participants want to enquire about our copywriting services after the workshop, we’ll be happy to answer any questions,” he said. “All we need is a suitable presentation space and screen to show examples using PowerPoint. We provide workshop notes for up to 25 attendees.”
