Michael and Kirsty Gladkoff, principal consultants at Word Nerds, have extensive experience in publishing, marketing, advertising and public relations.
Michael Gladkoff
Michael began writing for businesses as a teenager and has worked in the publishing, advertising and public relations fields for over twenty years. He has a BA from the University of California, an MBA in Marketing from Alaska Pacific University, and a Certificate IV in Professional Writing and Editing from Box Hill Institute in Melbourne. In the mid-1990s, Michael developed major advertising projects in Russia, including the first Yellow Pages directories for several Russian cities.
Before establishing Word Nerds, Michael worked in the publishing field for Reed Business Information and Thomson Legal and Regulatory. He holds memberships in the Society of Editors (Victoria), the American Chamber of Commerce in Australia, Business Network International (BNI) and the Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA). As an accomplished member of Toastmasters International, he has taught speech writing and presentation skills, and won numerous awards for his motivational and humorous speeches.
Michael is an experienced journalist who has written hundreds of articles on a range of topics.
Kirsty Gladkoff
Kirsty has extensive marketing experience and has worked with universities in Australia and the United States. She has developed and implemented marketing plans, created advertising campaigns and coordinated production of marketing materials — from developing initial ideas through pre-production, editing and production. Kirsty has a BA in International Studies from Macalester College in Minnesota, an MBA from Alaska Pacific University and is studying Professional Writing and Editing at Box Hill Institute in Melbourne.
